Privacy policy

Northern Stakes respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We don't run analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and the site doesn't set cookies. The contact form doesn't send anything to our servers: it opens a pre-filled email in your own email program. If you email us, we receive what you choose to send, usually your name, email address and message.

Like almost every website, our web server and our network provider (Cloudflare) process technical data such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. These logs are kept for a short time and are not used to identify or profile visitors.

How we use it

We use your email only to reply to you and, if you sent a correction, to check and update our content. We never sell or rent personal information, and we never add you to a mailing list.

Who we share it with

Our email is handled by our email provider, and the site is hosted on servers and delivered through Cloudflare. They process data on our behalf. We share information with others only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep emails for as long as we need them to deal with your message, and for no more than two years.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. Email info@northern-stakes.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Age

This site is for adults of legal age in their province. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
