These terms apply to your use of www.northern-stakes.com ("the site"), run by Northern Stakes, Toronto, Ontario. By using the site you accept them.

What this site is

Northern Stakes is an independent travel and information guide to fully licensed, land-based casino resorts in Canada that you visit in person. We are not a gambling operator. We do not offer, accept or arrange any gambling, there is no way to gamble on or through this site, and nothing here is an offer or inducement to gamble. We do not link to gambling operators or venue websites, and we take no bookings.

Who it is for

The site is intended for adults who are of legal age to enter a casino in their province: 19 or older in Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan and most other provinces, and 18 or older in Québec, Alberta and Manitoba. It is not directed at anyone under those ages.

Information only

Our content is general information and editorial opinion. Hours, facilities, restaurants and shows change, sometimes at short notice. Always confirm details directly with the resort before you travel. We check facts against published sources and show the date we last did so, but we can't guarantee that everything is current or complete.

Scores and reviews

Scores are our editorial opinion. Resorts can't pay for a review or a better score, and we have no commercial relationship with any resort or operator.

Responsible gambling

Gambling can be addictive. It is entertainment, not a way to make money. If you choose to gamble at a resort, set limits and stick to them. Free, confidential help is available in every province; see our responsible gambling page.

Intellectual property

The text, design and logo on this site belong to Northern Stakes. Photos are used under the licences shown on our photo credits page. Resort and brand names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the resorts we review.

We link only to support organizations, licence pages and photo sources. We are not responsible for the content of external sites.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Northern Stakes is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
